Day 1 - Arrival and Transfer to Phuentsholing
Be prepared to travel to Phuentsholing or Jaigaon, which are located approximately 170 kilometres apart, after arriving at New Jalpaiguri Train Station (NJP) or Bagdogra Airport (IXB). The second-largest town in Bhutan, Phuentsholing, is located near to Jaigaon. Enjoy your first night in Phuentsholing when you arrive.
Day 2 - Phuentsholing to Thimphu
Have a delicious breakfast before departing for Thimphu. About 6 to 7 hours total are spent on the trek. You will pass over the first crest and start a long, slow descent to the rushing river, which is the source of the enormous Chhukha Hydropower Plant project, after enjoying a two-hour trip through the mountain woods, eye-pleasing lianas, and orchids. You leave Chhukha and the town of Chimakothi, cross the river, and proceed through the hills. Have a delicious lunch while travelling. Once you reach Thimphu, check into your accommodation. Have a relaxing evening at the hotel in Thimphu with a nice dinner.
Day 3 - Thimphu Sightseeing
Get ready to explore Tashichho Dzong in the morning, a tranquil Buddhist stronghold and monastery on the western bank of Wang Chu. Visit the National Institute for Zorig Chusum after that. The Bhutanese tradition and culture are preserved through this institution. Visit the National Memorial Chorten, a significant Thimphu monument, after lunch. You will also go to the Folk Heritage and National Textile Museum, which is a great site to learn about the old weaving and clothing traditions in Bhutan. Enjoy your night at the hotel in Thimphu after a fantastic day of sightseeing.
Day 4 - Thimphu to Paro
Enjoy your two-hour ride to Paro, a stunning valley town in Bhutan, after a delicious lunch. Visit Ta Dzong, the National Museum of Bhutan, as soon as you arrive to see the collection of remarkable treasures on show, including weapons and armour, manuscripts, paintings, and decorative items. After that, take a stroll around the main street in the evening. You might browse souvenir shops for handicrafts or just unwind in a neighbourhood cafe or pub. Go to the hotel in Paro to spend the night.
Day 5 - Transfer from Paro to Phuentsholing
Go to Phuentsholing after a satisfying breakfast. Stop for a little while in Chuzom en route. Before reaching Gedu, a town in the Chhukha area, continue driving via Chapcha and subsequently take in the stunning vista of the Chhukha Dam and the breathtaking Vince waterfall. Check into the hotel after arriving at Phuentsholing in the evening, and then relax for the night.
Day 6 - Departure
Your enjoyable visit to Bhutan comes to an end today. After a delicious breakfast, proceed to Bagdogra Airport or New Jalpaiguri Train Station to begin your return trip to your home.
