Day 1 - New Jalpaiguri Station / Bagdogra Airport – Darjeeling
Arrive at Bagdogra airport or New Jalpaiguri station, then go to Darjeeling. Once you get there, check into your accommodation in Darjeeling. The evening is free time. Darjeeling, stay the night.
Day 2 - Darjeeling sightseeings
Visit Tiger Hill in the morning to enjoy the spectacular sunrise and Himalayan Mountains, including Kanchandzonga, Mount Everest, etc. Just before sunrise, the horizon changes hue, and the entire Himalayan range turns golden. On the way back from Tiger Hill, one may see the 15-foot-tall image of Mythey Buddha at Ghoom Monastery, which was established in 1875 and is the oldest monastery in the area. After breakfast at the hotel, go on a city tour that includes the Tenzing Norgay-founded Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (closed on Thursday), the Zoological Park (closed on Thursday), the Tibetan Refugee Center (closed on Sunday), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock, the Tea Estate (viewed from the outside), a Japanese temple, and the Peace Pagoda. Overnight at Darjeeling.
Day 3 - Darjeeling – Gangtok
After breakfast, checkout from Darjeeling hotel and proceed to Gangtok the capital city of Sikkim. Visit the Flower Show, Do Drul Chorten, the Institute of Tibetology (closed on Sunday), the Cottage Industry (closed on Sunday), and Bakthang Falls on your afternoon sightseeing tour in Gangtok. Stay the night in Gangtok.
Day 4 - Gangtok Sightseeings
Start your day journey to Tsomgo Lake (12,400 feet) and Baba Mandir (13,200 feet) after breakfast. These locations are 55 kilometres from Gangtok. Stay the night in Gangtok.
Day 5 - Gangtok -New Jalpaiguri Station / Bagdogra Airport
Following breakfast, head to Bagdogra Airport to get a flight or to New Jalpaiguri Station to catch a train back to your hometown. The holiday is over. Keep in touch via Facebook, email, and let's get together again for another special holiday. We'll talk soon.
